מטאדל גובזה נולד בתאריך 26.09.1997 בצפון אתיופיה לשני הוריו לאבא דגו ולאמא וובאלם והוא האח השני מבין 4 אחים. הוריו של מטאדל התפרנסו מחקלאות במשך שנים בכבוד רב.
כאשר היה בן שנתיים הוריו של מטאדל החליטו לעלות ארצה, הם עזבו את הכפר שהתגוררו בו במשך שנים רבות ועברו לעיר גונדר והמתינו במשך שנתיים במחנה ההמתנה גונדר במשך שנתיים על מנת לעלות לארץ ישראל.
לאחר שנתיים של המתנה מטאדל עלה לארץ בגיל 4 והתגורר עם הוריו במרכז קליטה קריית חיים אשר בחיפה למשך שנה ומשם התחיל ללמוד בגן והשתלב מצוין באופן חברתי, זאת למרות הקושי בשפה העברית.
לאחר כשנה משהותו במרכז הקליטה מטאדל עבר עם הוריו למגוריו הקבועים (לבית קנוי) בנתניה.
מטאדל התחנך בבית הספר יבנה וסיים את היסודי בהצלחה. משם עבר לחטיבת הביניים ריגלר אשר בשכונת דורה, נתניה. לאחר 3 שנים הוא החליט מרצונו החופשי לעבור לפנימיית מרכז הנוער "הודיות"- כך סיים 12 שנות לימודיו עם מגמת משטרה בכבוד ובהצטיינות!
בעקבות הצלחתו בלימודים בסוף כיתה י"ב, מטאדל יצא למשלחת פולין עם חבריו למגמה.
מטאדל תמיד חלם להיות לוחם. כחצי שנה מסיום לימודיו, בתאריך 20.06.2016, התגייס אל חטיבת הנח"ל ושירת בגדוד "שחם" בפלוגה "המסייעת" ובמחלקת המרגמות.
למטאדל היה מקום חשוב בין הבריות, הוא הרבה לעזור להם והיה שותף מלא בהגנה על תושבי מדינת ישראל.
סמל מטאדל גובזה ז"ל נפטר בעת שירותו ביום ט"ז באלול התשע"ז 06.09.2017 במוצב "גלדיולה" אשר בגיזרת הר דוב.

Metadel Gobezie was born on September 26, 1997, in Northern Ethiopia. he was the second of four children to his father Degu and his mother Wobakem. His parents achieved a very respectable standard of living for the family through agriculture.
When Metadel was two years old, his parents left the village in which they had lived for many years, and decided to do aliya to Israel.
Thus, after two-year wait, metadel arrived in israel at the age of four. Metadel and his family first lived at the absorption center in Kiryat Haim, near Haifa. There he began nursery school and rapidly pound his place among his peers despite the initial difficulty of learning Hebrew.
After spending one year at the absorption center, metadel and his family moved to Netanya. Metadel successfully completed the first part of his education at the regrel school in Netanya, later attended Hodayot boarding school where he successfully completed high school earning high honors in his concentration in police studies.
His accomplishments in high school earned his place as an emissary among a select cohort of students from the police concentration, who were sent on a mission to Poland after completing 12th grade.
Metadel always dreamed of being a combat soldier in the Israel Defense Force. He was inducted into the IDF six months after he graduated from high school. Metadel joined the Nahal Brigate om march 20, 2016. He served in the Shacham battalion of the Nahal Brigate as part of a mortar company that provided assistance to other combat battalion.
Metadel earned a place of honor among his peers. He was quick to help others ak played an essential role in defending the residents of northern Israel!
Sergeant Metadel Gobezie RIP, was cut down in his prime while in the line of duty. On the 16th of Elul 5777, Septemcer 6, 2017, at Gladiola outpost in the har dov sector.
